How do you celebrate a 40 year anniversary of a fashion house at a rare moment between creative directors? The untraditional house of Moschino kept with their legacy and enlisted four esteemed and uniquely different female stylists. The ask: draw inspiration from Franco Moschino’s rich archive to create 10 runway looks, culminating in one rare collection.

The anniversary celebration, debuted as Moschino’s Spring 2024 runway collection and titled “40 Years of Love,” brought together Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Lucia Liu, and Katie Grand. The Conservatory on Two in Dallas proudly displays the only installation of the 40th anniversary runway collection in the world.

“Organically Moschino has been my favorite label that I’ve worn the most for every special event,” says our founder Brian Bolke. “A lot of people think of [Moschino] as very one dimensional, but the extraordinary thing about Franco Moschino to me was his view of the political world and the world we live in. Fashion in the end is a product of our times, and the way that we look through that lens is everything. To be able to take that and regurgitate it back out in the way that you want to be seen is extraordinary, and I think that’s something that Moschino has always had.”

Vogue described each stylists’ interpretations of the house’s legacy.

“From Cerf de Dudzeele, a timeless capsule that mixed classic pieces in black and white; from Karefa-Johnson, a “sexy, fun, free, and eclectic” group heavily inspired by the ’90s. Liu, meanwhile, honed in on Moschino’s more romantic side, with lots of lace, puff sleeves, and girly embroideries; while Grand went straight for the slogans.”

There was one common objective reflected in each stylists’ unique sensibilities; all celebrated joy.

We couldn’t launch our Moschino installation without a little fanfare. Lucy Wrubel kicked off aperitivo hour with electric tunes, light bites and drinks, and what else… shopping.
