What does Considered Luxury mean to you?
Exceptional pieces made with compassion.

Who is a woman in your life you are inspired by and why.
My mother. She passed when I was a teenager, but as I’ve gotten older I have gained deeper and deeper appreciation for the remarkable woman she was and the courage she had to live her life to the beat of her own drum – particularly in small towns in the Midwest! She wore whatever the hell she wanted, created an incredible community of artists and makers and never lost her sense of curiosity in the world.

Favorite female singer to listen to when you need some motivation?
Florence + the Machine.

What are three words to describe your most fabulous female friend?
Direct. Resilient. Loving.

Name three things all women need in their life.
Deep friendships, opportunity and when relevant – childcare!

Of, if we are talking product – a killer red lipstick, the perfect black blazer and a pair of jeans that make your bum look amazing. Aside from needing to refill the lipstick, all three last forever.

What does giving back mean to you and your brand?
Philosophically we believe that we are all part of one universal, integrated ecosystem. Every action creates an impact so we strive to create value in all of our work. That begins with respect based relationships with all of our suppliers from farm to atelier to warehouse and with the ecosystems that their work touches.

To achieve impact beyond our direct actions, we work with four incredible philanthropic partners year-round providing a percentage of our sales to support systemic change across our values of human, animal, and environmental welfare.

What’s one thing you’ve learned in the last year?
I am a builder and doer by nature, which sometimes makes slowing down difficult – this year has taught me the importance of deep listening.
