DISCOVER + SHOP: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

What does Considered Luxury mean to you?
Luxury is often thought of as something to do with a high price tag. But for me, luxury means something very different. True luxury is timeless and transcends past, present and future. It is something made from the finest, sustainable materials, shaped by the skilled and respected hands of artisans, and carries the value of their craft. True luxury stands apart from a world of transience and trend because it is always appreciated for its inherent quality. At Vintner’s Daughter we strive every day to live up to this definition of luxury that stands the test of time.

Who is a woman in your life you are inspired by and why.
Rosemary Gladstar is a friend and renowned herbalist who has inspired me through her work, passion and generosity. It was studying her texts that gave me the knowledge and confidence to begin thinking about Vintner’s Daughter. If anyone out there wants to learn more about natural, performance-driven skincare, I highly recommend you tune into Rosemary. She is a living legend.

Favorite female singer to listen to when you need some motivation?
This is a hard one because I love music, so in no real order – Nina Simone, Robyn, Florence Welch, Taylor Swift, Solange and Stevie Nicks.

What are three words to describe your most fabulous female friend?
Generous, wise and joyful.

What are three things all women need in their life?
Full-hearted gratitude, self-acceptance, and love.

What does giving back mean to you and your brand?
From day one we have made giving back a part of our brand mission, by donating 2% of our top line revenue to charities benefiting women and children. We work with extraordinary organizations that are doing important work like Futures Without Violence, Project Night Night, Every Mother Counts, and Vitamin Angels. Their work is something we are very proud to be able to support and we could not do it without our extraordinary customers.

What’s one thing you’ve learned in the last year?
We always looked at women and children as one group of charitable partners and our environmental partners as another. This past year showed me how interdependent their respective health and wellbeing is. If our world isn’t healthy and well, our people never will be and this imbalance will always affect the most vulnerable among us more, and most often, that means women and children bear the brunt. This has given us a more focused and I hope more impactful mandate for our charity dollars moving forward.
