“When I want to add a warming effect to a fragrance I think of the scents found in places where people naturally gather, like a kitchen or around a fireplace. I’ll use spicy notes like cardamom combined with warm vanilla and wood. Carnation is especially inviting because of its natural aromatic composition which includes some of the same spices found in cloves. And florals like geranium and rose, which have natural spice nuances, are excellent in combination with other “hot” notes like patchouli and cedar.” – Sherri Sebastian
