Sunday is the one day without rituals or planning.

Unusual orchids

Favorite scent?
It’s an oil I started buying at Fred Segal 25 years ago. It’s fresh and clean like laundry or soap but nuanced.

Cheat meal?
Nashville hot chicken…it’s a new thing for me. Where has it been my whole life?

Favorite place to escape to when you need a moment of respite?
It’s a non-answer but my favorite places to go are the places I’ve not yet been.

Talent you’d like to have?
Sing or paint…it’s a toss up.

Quality you want to be remembered by?
I hope they smile when they think of me.

Best thing about where you are from?
The idealized and best possible version of small town values that I keep in my mind.

It’s hard not to be reminiscent of the past and be distracted by the future. How do you strive to live in the moment?
The passage of time and experience help but I’m not sure I am good at it…I am a romantic and a dreamer to my core.

What does Considered Luxury mean to you?

The opposite of conspicuous consumption. The way you live your life and the things with which you surround yourself in a curated, informed and valued manner.

What was the inspiration behind starting your brand?
To introduce my uncles incredible body of work to a new generation and to keep it moving forward. I think he is looking down and happy.
