Getting to Know…The Grey Men’s Skincare
On creating a brand that defies stereotypes.
The seeds for the Grey were planted when founder Gregor Jaspers realized that all of the men’s skincare brands out there were speaking to an outdated idea of what a gentleman wants. “At that time men’s skincare was all about grooming and packaging looked like whiskey and rum brands,” he says. “I wanted to break down those classic boundaries and create a proper skincare brand for men who take their skin seriously, with well-formulated products that can compete with all those amazing female-oriented products out there, but speaking the language men understand, addressing men’s issues and unique problems.”
Realizing that he was a feeling bit left out in the skincare world, he developed a multifunctional range that speaks to active, modern men. The goal is for everything to be straightforward and convenient with thoughtful formulas that were developed to make sure they don’t cling to facial hair. Our favorites include Self Tanning Serum, which gives a gradual glow to the face while it reduces lines and the 3 in 1 Face Cream that acts as day, night and eye moisturizer.
What was the inspiration behind starting your brand?
Looking at my washbag during a work trip in Milan I realized it was packed with all kinds of different skincare products tailored for women. It made me curious why there was no proper men’s driven skincare brand addressing my personal skincare needs, using a tone of voice tailored for men all presented in an aesthetic way.

It’s hard not to be reminiscent of the past, and be distracted by the future. How do you strive to live in the moment?
I have never been a person who reminisces over the past that much. I am, however, a person that can over-think the future ahead. I learned to celebrate and digest today’s wins and losses as this keeps me in the moment.
